Joe's Story
After high school, I spent a year at UVa, then transferred to BYU. After a semester at BYU, I left to serve a church mission in Germany for 2 years. I then came back to finish my degree. I was married to Ingrid my Junior year and we had our first daughter during the last semester of my Senior year. We moved to Boise, ID for me to take a job with a bank and to start work on my MBA at Boise State. Our second daughter was born in '83 in Boise while Ingrid worked as a nurse. After three cold years, we moved to the Phoenix area where we've been for 25+ years. Our son was born in '86 and our last daughter joined us in '90. I spent 25 years in commercial banking, the last 15 as a regional manager with Citigroup. After 23 years of marriage, Ingrid passed away in 2002. A devastatingly sad tim...Expand for more
e. We all made it through though and four years later I decided to date and about a year later I married Alicia whom I had known as a friend for a couple of years after meeting her at church. All the kids are grown now. Three have graduated from college, all attending ASU. Alexis is in her second year of nursing school. We have a granddaughter and four grandsons. I am now busy managing the sales and marketing efforts of a medium size businesses with reps statewide. Life is good. I am a lucky guy. Great family, great friends. And we love Arizona. We spend all the time we can outside hiking and traveling by motorcycle or convertible around the state with frequent trips to California including my annual trip each July to Monterey with my son and sons-in-law to attend the MotoGP races.
