Joe's Story
Life
Married (almost 32 years)
Spouse: Laurie Kelly (maiden name)
Profession: Nurse
High School: Arcadia H.S. (72)
College: University of Arizona School of
Nursing (76). She works now as a charge
nurse in Labor and Delivery at a hospital
in Phoenix (Shes been there almost 20
years now).
We met in College, got engaged and Married in 1976 when she graduated from Nursing School. We moved into married housing At
U of A so I could finish Architecture School.
We have 4 children:
1 daughter (first born); Katherine just graduated from
from college
3 sons; Kevin, started college - didn't
finish (oldest son) lives in San
Diego and is engaged to get married.
PS: great Basketball player.
Sean (middle son), Going to college plays
on football team. I remember him playing
football (Pop Warner) from the earliest age
they allowed, so I voluntered as a
equipment manager for many a year till he
reached High School.
Ryan (youngest son), Junior - in High
School; races BMX bikes (as of last year)
was No 2 in the state of Arizona.
Middle son played Defensive corner and special teams for Pinnacle High Varsity football team and played against McClintock High School in 2006 at a McClintock homecoming game (both teams were in the playoffs) anyway Sean had one of best games he had played all year but McClintock ended up wining the game by 1 point.
Profession: Architecture
Born again Christian (some time in the late 80's)
Go regularly to Bible church in Scottsdale.
Hobbys: (Good Stess relever) use to be Basketball for a good many years (even have my own small driveway type court) Coached for 8 years in the NCBA and played in City League, but after a fiew knee injuries & my age starting to catch up with me, and having some friends who play in rock and country bands and they got me into Playing guitar and I even have a small Home studio.
Work about 10 Hours a day in my office at Architectural firm. Keep in pretty good shape
with exrcise ...Expand for more
and good diet; at 5'-7" I only weigh 130 Lbs. Will probably die in my chair at the office rather than retire.

Miss Mulcahey (Algebra) PS; Bumped into her in the 1980's at a McClintock football game
and she had gotten married and had a new last name, don't recall what it was though!
PS: She was still teaching at McClintock.

After geting out of the Navy (by the way I was a cook in the Navy)
I worked for:
Rocket Power Incorporated, Mesa (72-73)
Then working to get through college:
Marriotts Camelback Inn, as a Valet & Bell-hop (73-74)
Arizona Forest Service as a fire fighter (helio attack copter crew)(74-75)
Then after getting married (76) and then graduating from Architecture School (80), I worked for a few differnet Architecture firms including one in Clearwater, Florida But now work for a firm
in Phoenix which I've been at for long time now.
Military
Was In the Navy For 4 years (strait out of High School)(69-72): Was an Officers Cook - by trade. In combat was assigned gunnery and fire supression stations duties.
Served two tours of Vietnam.
Had duty stations which included;
-Midway Island, Naval Base
-San Diego, Naval Base
-Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
-Subic Bay; Naval base, Philppines
-Yokosuka, Japan
- 2 Destroyers;
USS Chevalier DD 805
USS Rowan DD 782
My last duty station was with Commander Teasley 'COMDESDIV 152' on the Flagship
Pacific Fleet.
Visited Almost ever Country Which touched the Pacific Ocean.
