Joe's Story
Life
Married a Canadian in 1990 and moved to Canada permanently in 1991. We had two boys, as my wife worked full-time and I taught part-time,conducted applied research, and raised the two youngsters. Great flexibility in work has allowed me to spend a considerable amount of time "hangin' with my homeboys", which has included a lot of coaching and community work. Once the boys entered school fulltime, I returned to work fulltime and eventually earned tenure at The University of Western Ontario. My wife and I separated amicably early in 2006. e continue to be a strong co-parenting team as our homes are within walking distance of each other. The boys have adapted well and everyone seems to be doing well in general. I currently spend a fair bit of time writing and conducting research, as well as recording music & staying fit with running and basketball. Life's an adventure, to say the least!
