Joe's Story
After graduation;
Jul 1970-Nov 1970 entered Basic Combat Training U.S Army at Ft. Ord, CA
Nov 1970-Jul 1971 US Army Signal School Ft. Gordon, GA(Automatic Equipment Technician)
Aug 1971-Nov 1974 Okinawa, Japan with the USA Signal Support Japan(working in the communications center). During my tour(4 years) visited Tokyo and Camp Zama Japan, South Korea and John Shay AFB Philippines.
Nov 1974-Nov 1976 South Korea working at Camp Ames Communications Center, Taejon. US Ordinance and Nuclear Depot.
Dec 1976-Nov 1978 Ft. Lewis, WA with 176th Signal Bn and 542nd Maintenance/FWD
Nov 1978-Nov 1981 Mons, Belgium in SHAPE(Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) communications center with Gen Alexander Haig(later Sec of State). Visited, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, France, Italy.
Nov 1981-Nov 1985 Ft. Carson Colorado with the 104th Military Intelligence.
Nov 1985-Nov 1988 Darmstadt, Germany with the 44th Signal Bn(Co.C)General Collin Powell, (later Sec of State).
Nov 1988-Jul 1990 Ft. Campbell Kentucky 101st Airborne(Air Assault) with the 801st Maintenance Bn.

I am married to Angela a florist with Pono Market and Hilo Hatties.
My daughter Jennifer(graduate of the University of Oregon, BA), working at the Providence Hospital in Portland) married to Douglas with 1 son Kellen and daughter, Ilse.
Jocelyn(graduate from the nursing program at the University of Hawaii) LPN working at the Maui Veterans Clinic. She is married to Rossen with 2 sons Damien and Jake and daughter Kaila.
My son Chris is a medical technician in Providence Hospital in Portland Oregon, married to Jenna and daughter Alexa.
Love photography, fishing, computers, electronics, gardening, playing chess and bowling...
