Joe's Story
Life
I went into the Navy after graduation and became an aircraft electrician. Went to Cleveland Institute of Art two years then back in the Navy for 16 more years. Retired 8-93. I taught NJROTC at Rhodes HS in Cleveland and now teach art in Cleveland after receiving a BA in Art and a Masters of Art in Teaching at Kent State. I have six children: 3 boys and 3 girls born from 1977 to 1994 with two separate wifes. I am currently married to the former Sophie Zebrowski and live in Brecksville Ohio near the...Expand for more

Workplace
I teach K-8 art. It is challenging and rewarding. The students don't all appreciate why art is so important nor do some of their parents so selling the whole idea of art education is a fulltime job. As a second career it is a tough one. I wish I had the strength of thirty five years ago when I am running up and down the stairs with two arms full of art supplies, but it keeps me in shape. I retired in 2013 and am enjoying life in Brecksville!
