Joe's Story
Life
I married my first wife in 1972. We had two beautiful daughters. I worked in the bulb farms and the cheese factory for a while. I met and married my second wife, Debbie (Grittman) Reynolds of Elk Creek in 1976. We had 3 girls. I worked as a mechanic for 19 years, then struck out on my own as a firewood supplier for 6 years. in Beatty, Nevada. Debbie works for the local chamber of commerce.
Between our five daughters we have 13 grandchildren, ranging from 4 years to 24, and we have one Great Granddaughter. Two of our daughters are nurses, one is a homemaker--homeschooling four of her bunch, the youngest also works in Death Valley, and one works for a cell-phone company.
