Joe Boyd:  

Joe Boyd has been involved with photography from the early years of his life. His father was a Kodak sales rep, and Joe spent as much time in and around the on site lab as possible. He learned B&W from the ground up using whatever camera was in the lab. From the very beginning he had what others would later call a unique perspective on common everyday things. He was captivated by the story telling power of the camera, and used his ability to stack images in his head, to create one of a kind multiple exposures that were deemed far superior to his years. Family disruption caused a long halt to his creative thoughts. He attended college to become a Pre School teacher. For his final he composed a film that rekindled his love of imagery. He moved to Oakhurst California, and spent many months in the mountains in and around Yosemite.
