Joe's Story
Life
Hi Everyone!
Lucy and I have been married over 18 years and we live in the town of Dracut, which is in the northeast corner of Massachusetts, on the New Hampshire border. We have two sons, ages 14-1/2 (9th grade) and 16 (10th grade). Over the years, the boys have kept active in soccer, basketball and music. This has kept mom and dad busy as coach, referee and administrator through much of the nineties. With their interest in music, each play the piano as well as the saxophone, and theyÂre active in the Dracut High (Marching, Concert and Jazz) Band.
The US Air Force prompted my move to New England in 1977, after I finished bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering at Stevens Tech in Hoboken. Lucy worked as a civilian secretary in the same office back then, and we literally met at the copying machine .. ÂHi, my name is Captain Krieger .. ;-)

Â81, IÂve worked for four companies. In August 1999, I left the large company culture of Raytheon after 12-1/2 years to work at Papillon Research, which is a small (8 engineer plus 1 administrator) company that designs electronic hardware for other companies. After 15 months of working at Papillon, I still feel as though IÂve died and gone to heaven, even though one of our clients bought our company just last month, as a means of furnishing their start up venture with an instant hardware design department.
For an annual summer get away, the four Kriegers travel to Acadia National Park in Maine to enjoy two weeks of tent camping on Mount Desert Island. The four of us still hike and bike together, but I must admit that the boys are kind enough to slow their pace for dad.
I wish the best of health and happiness to all my friends from St. JoeÂs and Stevens. And best wishes for a great new millenia! (Nov 2000)
