Joe's Story
A note to my 1968 Kennedy High School senior classmates:
Like for you, a half century went by very quickly in my life. And it has been worth every moment! Back in high school our parents, teachers and mentors told us it would. It's an awakening when one day you realize "you've become your parents”.
Crosby, Stills and Nash said it best: “Teach your children well – and know they love you.”
After a five-decade career in the medical device healthcare industry I’m still working because I love what I do. Every day our products help patients who need them to live better lives in many ways. Sharing my experience with our sales team and seeing them continue our mission is always motivating.
Being married to the “love of your life“ is wonderful - especially when she’s you’re best friend! After almost 35 years together Angela and I now have 11 grandkids. Caroline May arrived last November and we plan to spoil her like we have all the others.
Several years ago we “finally” moved to our mountain house in Western Maryland. It’s a four season resort area with green leaves in the summer and lots of snow ...Expand for more
and cold in the winter. With only one traffic signal in town, it’s a lot different than city living.
Then the “hounds” arrived. Over the past few years we’ve rescued four beagles and a basset (who now thinks she’s a beagle). They were all dogs in dire need of a forever home. What else could we do, Right? Reality is we now live with five perpetual two-year-olds. And they sure come in handy when it’s -5F outside and you need a “Three (Five) Dog Night” to stay warm. Living with all these hounds is a chore, but we love them.
About 30 years ago I became a firearms collector. That has become my “outside of work” passion. It may scare some of you California folks. Not to worry, I’m not one of the crazies that go bezerk. I’m well vetted and have an FFL (Federal Firearms License) .My mountain friends and I try to get to the local range every Sunday when we can. If you’d like to see some of our range fun, Google j8064MD on YouTube.
I’ll close with wishing my very best thoughts and prayers to the entire ’68 KHS Senior class.
Life is great. Now we know 50 years is a short time..,
Godspeed to you all!
