Joel's Story
Life
Well, I am not a gold member, so I can't read anyone elses bio; I will write mine anyway. After graduating from high school, I went into the Navy. After boot camp I went through two years of rigorous Navy training on the East Coast. I went to sunny Florida for electronics training, humid and mosquito infested South Carolina for nuclear power training, and to the woderful state of New York for six months of training on a prototype reactor to become a nuclear electronics technician. What does that mean? I operated nuclear reactors onboard navy submarines, and fix the electronic equipment associated with controlling the reactor. So far, my first and only boat was a Trident submarine, the USS Alaska, out of Bangor, Washington. I served for four years on the boat, going out to sea and having all sorts of fun... not ...Expand for more
really.
Then, I went to be an instructor teaching other navy personnel electronic theory, and the sorts, in multiple training courses. I finally got out of the navy in Oct 2006, and attained my bachelors in Computer Information Systems through Chapman University. Now, I work at Intel as a Field Service Engineer doing a variety of maintenance and troubleshooting on the robotic, electronic, and mechanical systems utilized in making and processing wafers.
I am married, and met my wife up in Washington. We've been married since 2000. We have a daughter named Grace who is 5 and in kindergarten. I also have another daughter named Faith who is 2 1/2. Both of my children are beautiful, and they are so much fun.
I won't be going to the reunion, sorry. You can find me on myspace and email me at arnold.jd at gmail.com
