CLASS OF 1967

Joel's Story

Life Graduated from Northeastern University in 1972 majoring in environmental biology. Met my future wife, Laurie, in 1967 at NU and we were married on graduation day in 1972. We stayed in Boston for 2 more years, then moved to New Hampshire in 1974. We have 2 boys, Greg is 41 and Jeff is 36. I have owned my own business since 1976 and it's almost time to retire. Laurie has an Elem. Ed. degree and works in our local school. I've been active in many sports since high school but now it's pretty much down to golf, golf and more golf! d. Jeff graduated from the Univ. of Miami, majoring in Motion Pictures and Political Science. He originally headed to Hollywood to become a film producer, but until recently was an executive coordinator for digital programming at NBC Universal. Jeff just received his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. We all traveled to LA for his graduation. He is beginning a new job at Apple working in their new television endeavor. Greg is focused on local and state politics. He has worked on many successful campaigns for the US House and Senate here in New Hampshire. Both my parents died of heart related problems, so far I have had a single bypass procedure done and a stent insertion. Getting old is not for the faint of heart. But we just keep plugging along - one day at a time.
