Joel's Story
I am a visual artist and make my home in the scenic Santa Cruz mountains of central California.
After graduating from Monta Vista High I studied American History as an undergraduate at San Jose State and received my Masters in Documentary Film Production from Stanford University in 1994.
While I do work on the occasional film project, my chosen art form is sculpture.
I create my originals in wax,...Expand for more
wood, or cloth; then by using traditional lost wax methods
and the latest experimental techniques, my creations are cast into bronze.
A lifelong collector of Vintage and Classic vehicles and a fan of Western Americana,
I incorporated these interests into my own unique brand of Western art I call Kowboy Kitsch®.
In my spare time, I enjoy working on my old machines and flying antique airplanes.
