Joey's Story

After graduation, I attend college and got an associates degree in Electronics. Married my college sweetheart...and had five beautiful children. Four boys and one girl. Our oldest son, is starting his junior year of college at Univesity of Pittsburgh! I quite my job (13 years ago), after my third son was born...and stayed at home to raise my children. Which is an awesome job! Been a animal lover, all my life...and thanks to my 4H loving children (and our 12 1/2 acre back yard)....WE have started a small farm of our own....with a horse, a cow and about 10 sheep. (Didn't see that one coming!) I enjoy just cuddling up with my kids, whether its watching a movie or laying on a beach towel by the pool. My family is my life. I admire my husband...who works so hard, to give me everything I want and need. He is not the kind of man to set around and dream of what he wants....but makes his dreams come true. I say I wish we had some fruit trees....and before I know it...we have fruit trees of all kinds growing in the backyard. He listens to me....really listens. And thats after 21 years of marriage! Now, how many women can say that? LOL (This story wizard...where does it get its question ideas!) The one person from my past, that I would like to see most.... Well, I would love to see my classmates, of coarse.... But, one person...well, my grandfather who died in 2002...would be my number one response! But I think it might be referring to classmate that I would like to see the most. Hmm. Well, my best friend in High School...Janelle Hickey. The biggest surprise in my life...is how it turned out. Went to college, looking to figure out who I was...and what direction I should go...and God gave me a long haired, muscle car loving man...who turned out to be a clean cut, loving father, bend over-hard working husband, gentle loving, Christian man. You would not have believed that from a glance of our college pictures! But a preachers wife...is what I thought I was going to be at one point. But, that is not the direction it went...he just enjoys sharing the knowledge of the Bible. He has one of those minds...that memorizes things....with little to no effort! Wish I would have gotten a little of that gift! Home improvements? Hmm? Well, we just built our second home, and it is turning out to be the farm! And would love to pave the driveway for starters. 2 tenths of a mile long! And all up hill! So it tends to wash out...alot! But talk about an arm and a leg! I do not have the funds to begin to pave that! I would love to finish the basement....so I can move the TV down there and finish a recreational room for the kids to hang out. This is my dream house! What I learned from my kids? That I was a good kid! LOL Man, the things they get into... And this computer age....well, it has its good points and bad points....they tend to have to many secrets with this internet and myspace, etc... But to say, what have I learned from my kids...that with great love and patience....comes great things. These kids have dreams...all of which include college and what THEY want to be. And each one is a goal setter....which inspires me, to keep dreaming. The teacher that I would love to see is Mr.Reaser and Mr. Yucha. These two were just my favorite teachers. I enjoyed being in their class and just enjoyed talkin...Expand for more
g to them. I have seen Mr.Yucha off and on, over the years...but NEVER have ran into Mr. Reaser. If I one a million dollars? Come on...get serious...this is real life, right? Well, I will play along...I would give some to our church...and some to save poor animals (my daughter watches these TV shows, and wants to support them! She would sell everything to save them all!), put away money for the rest of the childrens college education, and then pay off all my bills. I am lucky...I am truely happy...and life does not get any better than this. Oh...wait....it would if I won a million dollars!!! LOL My best friend Pam, would say that I am a busy person...who loves to scrap book in her free time! LOL FREE TIME! That is funny! But I find time.... And that always has at least one or two children with her. People who do not know me very well, would say...that I am that lady with a bunch of kids...that they see at the football and soccer games...that is very strict, when it comes to her kids behavior in public. I actually have had people tell me this...that they LOVE that I do not let my kids walk all over me, and run around destroying things...like others. I have actually had people want me to babysit, because of my structured discapline, with my own children. Do I still dress like I did back in school? Hmm. Yeah. I am about the same size too! Thank God! I still love the jeans, and jean shorts....and confortable shirts...as well, as those clingy ones, that actually show, that you still got a shape! MY KIDS do NOT like me to wear them! Cover my face in a picture...and let me stand next to some of these teenage girls....I can blend in pretty well...which is VERY disturbing to them! LOL Do Overs? (This story wizard...please!) Not going there...a road, that is not worth going down. 10 years from now...I would like to see some grandchildren...and where my children are in their lives. As for me...a more organized home....which is coming, as the children are growing! LOL What would surprise everyone at my High School reunion? Hmm. That I have five children...and do not look like it. I believe I could almost fit into my Majorette uniform, which I still have! A childhood memory I will never forget? Well, the loss of my first classmate...Chris Kohl. That would have to be the most painful one. Can honestly say, I never thought of losing a classmate...yet one that I had from kindergarten through my junior summer. And it is a memory, that still brings tears to my eyes. Talk about lifes little surprises. But a good child hood memory...just the birthday parties we had...as classmates...in our elementary years. Back then, you had the same classmates each year. You know, one school...one first grade class...one first grade class teacher...the SAME classmates sitting next to you each year. A chance to build solid friendships.... We would invite the entire class....and usually...the whole class would come! And, it was just great! We took a whole week, our 5th grade year, and went to camp....we would do walking field trips, to classmates homes, close to the school....to do year end picnics. The Grade Mothers...would come in to help with special holdiay parties....and they were just awesome. Being a kid was great. Being a wife and mother is awesome. I am glad to have memories of both....
