John's Story
Life
Lost my wife to cancer on 1/15/2015. Raising my 4 year old "Seamus" by myself now!
I just got married on 5/31/07 (first time). I really enjoy traveling to out of the way places, one of the funniest things I did was to go to a tomato fight in Spain called La Tomitina. I enjoy many outdoor activities like Scuba Diving, Skiing, Hiking, Boating, Rock Climbing, Ice Climbing and Sky Diving. I had an accident jumping in Florida that set me back for the past 2.5 years, for the most part I'm happy I didn't get the Pizza box burial. I managed to get a little Ice Climbing in but got set back again when I had the hardware removed.
School
I was working in a pizzeria during High School so take a guess what I managed to find as a job while going to College - Yep, Dough boy again!

sity, I'm the facilities manager for the trade shops Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons...Bla, Bla Bla....you get the idea. I also have my NYC Electrical license so I'm also the licensed guy for the University. Every day is interesting but the commute from LI is a killer...I always thought that anyone that made that daily trip was off their rocker, so I guess if the shoe fits, it's mine!
Well I left Columbia October 07 and now I'm the Director of facilities at SUNY Stony Brook, It's great having a 20 minute commute. We had a bunch of fun out on the boat this summer, a bunch of trips (Santa Barbara, Kentucky to visit the folks a couple of times, Texas next week and the Philippines and Japan in December and January. We are also in the middle of purchasing a house. The last 2 years have been quite busy.
