JOHN-DAVID ALLEN, SR.
COLONEL, US. ARMY (RET.)
Served 28 years in the United States Army, retiring in 1995 at the rank of Colonel.
During my military career I served 2 years as an enlisted solider, obtaining the rank of SP/4, was awarded a Direct Commission in Viet Nam as a 1st Lt- after which I was a Platoon Leader & Company Commander(serving with both the 25th and Americal Divisions - 2 tours) and a 3rd tour at MACV in Viet Nam; Battalion Commander at the Infantry Training Center at Ft. Benning, GA; Prior to retirement from the U.S. Army I spent my last fifteen years in support of operations and joint forces to include service in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and as an Executive Assistant in Office of the Chief of Staff US Army. My military education includes attendance at Basic Combat Training & Advanced Infantry Training, Ft Dix,; Basic and Advance Infantry Officer's Course, Ft Benning; The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and The National Defense University. I have been awarded 32 awards & decorations for Valor and Heroism in Comat and distinguished service
After retiring from the U.S. Army, I entered the Property Management filed and worked as a Property Manager, Property Portfolio Manager and Director of Community Development for two major Property Management Companies until retiring in June 2010..

Been married for the past 43 years to Mary Mullins Allen (formerly of Gloversville, NY/Graduate of Nazareth College, Rochester, NY-1970)) an elementary school teacher in Prince William County, VA (retired 6/2007).
We live in Virginia (outside Washington, DC)
I served as an Elected Member of the Prince William County (VA) School Board from 1995 to 2004, and two years as the Board's Vice Chairman.
Currently I am a consultant in the area of Property Management, assisting communities with marketing and development of systems and procedures.
