John's Story
Life
I live in Southlake, Texas. I am married for the secound time, now for 15 years, to Lori woods who is originally from Amaraillo.I have 7 children, (his/hers/ours). Two with professional college degrees and two in college and two at home.I am a Emergency Room Physician, and I work out of Baylor Regional Medical Center, Grapevine.I also have a working ranch in Commanche County, and a 2nd home on the Gulf at West Galveston Beach. I drive a Ford truck, like to hunt and fish!

l Texas Region. I am an appointed member of the Govenors " EMS and Trauma Advisory Counsel".I have other appointments concerning EMS and Trauma, locally, regionally, State, and on a national level.
Military
I spent 4 years as an enlisted man in the Navy, trained as a Medical Corpsman.I then became commissioned in the US Army Reserve, and retired in 2004 after 27 total years, with the rank of Colonel, 0-6, Medical Corp. I was mobilized during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, overseas for 6 months, assigned to the 8th Mechanized Infantry Division, working as a Brigade Surgeon. My last position was as the Command Surgeon for the 90th Regional Support Command, headquartered out of Little Rock, Arkansas.
