Angela's Story
Life
My husband and I are recently retired and living on Whidbey Island. I'm looking for a couple of old friends, including Suzanne Behrens and members of the Equestrian staff.
I have MS so I'm not particularly active physically, but I do still enjoy a good book, etc. My husband compensates for my limitations by practicing martial arts, kayaking, flying, fishing, golfing, etc.
We bought a 26 foot MacGRegor, and found it too small, so we are looking for a bigger sailboat. (Update: we found it, a 40 foot Beneteau, the Pangaea - who says bigger isn't better?)
I am a member of WSU Master Gardeners, so when I'm looking for an outdoor activity, it ususally includes weeding, hosting plant clinics at local farmers' markets etc.

The younger son has a degree in art and is engaged to be married to a wonderful young woman. He has a 'day job' as an office 'go to' guy at an engineering company. He's trying to break into the anime/graphic novel market.
My husband's career has taken him worldwide, and as a result I've been fortunate enough to see every continent, except Antartica. My career was less spledid, mostly mothering and working a variety of office jobs to keep money flowing while my better halves (2 sons and a hubby) got Bachelors', a Master's and finally a doctorate. We joke at our house that 12 months can't go by without someone working on some sort of degree.
I can't believe that it's been 38 years (yes, 38!) since high school. I'm looking forward to reading other people's bios!
