John's Story
Life
After graduating from Mary Washington College in 1975 I moved to California. There I planned to spend four years in the nighttime Law program at Golden Gate University and then move back to Virginia. It took me six years to make it through Law School and in 2004 I'm still in California.
In addition to my degrees in Math and Law I've taken lots of classes in Computer Science and Graphic Design and oddly enogh I'm now working for a mid-size Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Firm in Concord California where I'm using much of that education. he companies computers, design and maintain our websites, do database programming and occasionally even sign a document as a member of the California Bar.
I've been married for almost twenty years. Joan and I have no children but we do share our lives with a couple of Standard Poodles, I'm an active, but slow, bicyclist frequently leading leisurely paced rides with the local Grizzly Peak Cyclists. I rode the 70 mile first loop at the Grizzly Peak Workers Century last month and am now trying to figure out how I can get my time down enough on the ride next year so I'll be able to do the 38 mile second loop too.
