John's Story
Life
Jan Gardner and I married in 1969 and will have been married now for 36 years in January, 2005. WE have 3 children; 2 girls - Teri and Melissa, and 1 son - Jonathan. We also have several grandchildren. After living in Charleston, SC, we moved to Alabama and lived in Sylacauga, Tuscumbia, Gadsden and Birmingham. THen we moved to Jacksonville, FL for 4 years. We're now in Chattanooga, TN, where we've been for over 18 years. I was a Music Minister for 24 years, a pastor for 9 and now serve as Director of a worldwide ministry.
College

State University in Alabama. Baptist College in CHarleston SC (now Charleston Southern). Received a CGS from Dallas Theo Seminary, B.Min., M.Min., and D.Min. from Covington Seminary.
Workplace
After attending DTS while I was a pastor, I earned a D.Min. at Covington Seminary. I now serve as General Director for Leaderhip Ministries Worldwide in Chattanooga, TN. We publish the Preacher's Outline & Sermon Bible and are also a mission organization. Part of my job is to teach pastors and church leaders around the world to use our commentary/Bible study material.
