John's Story
Life
Joined AF after High School. Did 20yrs., In Aircraft Armament, B-52 Tail Gunner - Line Gunner and Instructor Gunner, Then NCOIC of a Civil Engineering Branch. Married twice in the service, and have two sons, age 17 and 21. I am remarried and in Ingram,TX . I got into Trucking, pretty much for the heck of it - that was back in 95. Can't think of anything else I'd rather do, and my wife being the Co-Driver has made it more enjoyable. Tried doing the Factory and Management thing, and determined its more fun to just be in charge of me. I pass through Barstow fairly often; Little Sisters' Truck Wash and Del Taco is my ususal stop.

What made me join? Something I knew I was going to at least try early on.
Advice to someone thinking of it? Your Integrity and dignity are yours, not Government Property - If you lack integrity, please stay away. If you can't go to a street corner in a city, and watch for an afternoon, and come away accepting everyone you saw is worth your life. Please stay away.
What best describes my Military Experience? Hours of boredom, monotony, and redundancy with occasional moments of sheer terror.
Favorite R&R Location? there's no place like home Toto.
What I liked most? People, times, and places. Had some of my best times and some of my worst times, but Cest'la Vive.
