John Cantrell:  

Served 20 years in United States Marine Corps Reserve. Lived in Dallas, Austin, Round Rock, Charlotte (NC), Houston, Pearland, back to Austin Grew up in retail and worked with my Dad at E. M. Kahn, Dallas. Then became an executive with Sears, (worked 9 stores), titchie's (opened Red Bird Mall). Then opened my own store in Carrollton, TX, "The Chambers". Then worked for the Highland Marketing Group, Smitherman Group, Hart Forms, all were advertising, printing and insurance media firms. I served as Vice President Marketing and Operations. Then I got back into retail for a few years with QVC, San Antonio location, Director of Operations and Administration. From there I was brought back to Austin to as Sr. Manager, Consumer Financial Services with Dell, and employed the big Dell drop in 2001. Aflac called and moved me to Charlotte, NC to manager a new District in Charlotte. My team and I built that team to the number 1 team in the Southeast and top in the state. I then become the State Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Then while playing golf I had my heart attack and had to rest for six months.
