Life My life has been like a fairy tale. I will tell about how I met my wife. I had been living and working in Dalton Ga. since getting out of High school. I came home to Dade City Fl. Dec 20th 1969,for Christmas. I walked into Russell's Drive in on Highway 301 across from Pasco Packing. When I walked in there was only a couple of customers inside. I looked around to decide where to sit when an elderly gentleman in the corner motioned me his way. He introduced himself and told me to sit down. I sat at a table close to him and we began to chat. This lovely young girl with dark brown hair down to her buttocks came from in the back and asked what I wanted. I only had a couple of bucks on me so I just ordered coffee. The old gentleman told her to bring me a steak. Now I had no Idea then who he was as I still today don't know who he was! He insisted she bring me a steak so I went ahead and told her to bring me a T-bone med well. Next this gentleman asked me if I liked the waitress, I said I guess so, I don't even know her name. When she brought me my steak, she told me her name was Bonnie. When she walked away the gentleman told me to ask her out. I told him I had just got into town and did not have money to take her out. He gave me a five dollar bill and paid for my steak and left. After he left I asked Bonnie who he was and she said she had never seen him before. I asked Bonnie if she had a car, which she said no, so then I asked if I could give here a ride home and she said, I would have to ask her mother. She told me her mother would be there anytime to pick her up and her mother did not like guy's, with their shirt tales out and no socks. Guess what? I’ve got my shirt tale hanging out and no socks.(still dress that way today) Bonnies mother drives up in a 1964 Ford Falcon and I go out and introduce myself.
