John's Story

Life I attended CU Boulder for 2 years, then transferred to Metropolitan State College in Denver where I graduated with an Aerospace Science degree in 1988. I was selected in 1989 to attend USAF Pilot Training, and upon earning my Air Force wings, I flew military 737's with the Colorado Air National Guard until my squadron moved in mid 1996. My wife Dawn was expecting our first child by then, so rather than seek out an airline job (lots of travel) I preferred something more stay-at-home, so we started our own limousine service. iness first from home, then from an office until it got to be too time consuming. We transferred our corporate accounts to a good friend in the business and I then worked briefly for Jeffco Airport as their Property Manager. I left there in July 2000 and began flying again for a living in early 2001. I flew freight for a few years, then finally got on with Frontier Airlines in late 2003. We have two great kids: Erin is nine and Alex is seven. Besides flying, I would like to take up skydiving and also enjoy trying to play bass guitar. I'm in the book...
