John's Story
Life
After High School I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome,New York. I was a Base Cop for two years and then became a Fireman. When I came home from the military I started to date my high school girlfriend Anita Bowry again. We got married in 1980. In 1982 I became a New York City Housing Cop. the PD in 1985 after a shooting in Queensbridge Houses. At the time we had two sons; Thomas and Sean. We then moved to Mesa, Arizona. While in Mesa, AZ I went to work for U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service. We had two more sons born in Mesa; Steven and Patrick. Since then I have moved to Chicago and Pennsylvania. In March of 2004 I moved to Washington DC and now work at Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement Head Quarters.
