John's Story
I attended SUNY Geneseo and then Syracuse Univ., where I met my future wife. My degree was in Broadcasting and I started in radio at a Rockland AM station doing local news (interviewed my old social studies teacher Charlie Holbrook almost daily). I soon caught a break in TV as a sportscaster, but had to move to Mississippi (now that was a culture shock). I eventually landed in Atlanta selling airtime and writing and producing commercials. Later I became Sales Mgr and then Station Mgr for TV-34 in Rome, GA.

hat phrase! Lets call that Mr. Coach, Mr. PTO, Mr. Chef, Mr. Laundry, Mr. School Board, Mr. Chauffeur, Mr. Homework Consultant a/k/a SUPER DAD! I still work, keeping my hand in broadcasting by doing voiceovers from a home studio. That may be me you just heard selling you a Chevy truck, financial services or "fun in the sun at a casino"!
Lisa and I have been happily married for 25 years, the last 15 living in a suburb of Cincinnati. Our son is in college. and daughter not far behind. I get back to "The County" at least once a year to visit family and enjoy visiting with old friends over a beverage or three.
