John's Story
My parents were Irish immigrants who raised seven children six-boy's, and one-girl in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York. I am a traditional person who has a lovely wife Nancy for the past 29-years. I have a wonderful son Thomas 24-years old who graduated from the University of Florida, attended Graduate School at University of Miami. was drafted into the military in 1965, and after military service 1970, I spent time working for Xerox, and NEC Telephones on Long Island while living in New York. My working career was split between the Army and Federal Law Enforcement. I retired from the US Army in 1994, as a Colonel, and from the US Customs Service, Senior Special Agent in 1999. After semi-retirement I worked as a contractor for the US Customs Service in Bucharest, Romania and returning home to Fort Myers, Florida in 2001.
