John's Story
p.s. the last is first . . . . .
Well we made the 'next' move. Even farther north, almost to Wichita Falls, in a little town named Bowie, Texas. Living on 56 acres and am preparing to restore a 1951 Ferguson tractor and work a farm.
Moved to Dallas and then to a small town north of Ft Worth, New Fairview, Texas, where I was elected and served on the city council for one term prior to moving again. Still here and am contemplating another move this year.
Became a telephone company employee, Verizon, did that for 25 yrs then retire...Expand for more
d there and am doing some contract work for them & ATT. nDeb has since retired from ATT just prior to our last move.
Married Mena Cone from the Canyon High school area. Divorced her after about 1 1/2 yrs. Went to SWTSU for a bit and met new wife, Debbie. Just celebrated 35 yrs with her Jan 2009.
Military
I served aboard the USS Little Rock CLG-4 in the Mediterranean from 1966-1968. That is a light cruiser with guided missiles. Built near the end of WWII.
Left high school in 1965. Stayed in NB for a little while b4 going into Navy.
