John's Story

Life I'm still this whimsical hopeless romantic artist that really couldn't ask for anymore in life. I've been in Radio,TV,Theatre,Entertainment and The Arts..I will be 65 soon and still active in running, hiking and canoeing on The Buffalo River, here in the Ozarks. Life has been an adventure and certainly neat with this "Life In The Making"...a title of a book that we are working on,here at the studio. I have been blessed with travel and meeting interesting people that have touched my life, from three Presidents to taking a tractor to Washington DC and fighting for Farmers. I have been working with "The Bikers for Babies", The Meals on Wheels Program and Relay for Life with my "Cool Collars" and artistic greeting cards We have a Newsletter and a great adventure working with Children and The Arts. We just saved a 1904 Historical Olde Home that we had worked on for almost 6 years that is now listed on The National Registry of Historical Places. I have been blessed also in this life with three wonderful children. My oldest travels a great deal in the South as an Engineer. My middle son, that's in Nuclear Medicine and living in Key West. Then, my daughter, that was with SW Air but after 9-11 she decided to go into Medical Nursing. And as of December 2005 has given me a grand-daughter.Each one has been gifted. I'm still single, maybe available to the right person,Ha!! I am a great cook and host;salt and pepper ponytail hair, good health, thin, good humor,Oh!!! wrong network.....Where is Judy...can we dance at the PROM!!!! We have created a little card company and Wild Goose USA So if you would like to visit me anytime.Go After It....I work with other artist and involved in several festivals. I am very much into recycling and creating art from discarded items found, from our creative one of a kind artistic birdhouses to our whimsical crescent moons. Take care and Peace and Joy to each of you. I do enjoy the memories.... School I would say, way down deep,I thought Judy Vincent was the neatest girl and certainly a lady. We had fun cheerleading too!!!...I think I could of danced with her all night. I had fun with Buddy Hymel..Larry Pittman and Bob Abney...never forget the night we went to Chalmette...and the times at Bosco's... I will never forget Cheerleading and how it all started out as a joke that turned into a blast. The football games and the outfit the girls created for me. Slidell was alot of fun!!!!Memories that will last forever...The Tree that some of us put color panties on.The blasting of the car we smash...Expand for more
ed to make aware safe driving. The Teachers, I remember that touched me in special ways,Mr Miller and Ms Davis..two teachers that made an impact on my life... both challenged me for sure. And of course the day Larry Pittman and I met our Chemistry Teacher in the hall way and we thought she was a student and asked for a date. When we got to class and saw who she was, we ended up of the front row with a red face..Ha!! Mr White, our music teacher got the best out of our voices and he was our Sponsor for our Key Club. Industrial Arts was a Blast and even Future Farmers of America....with our trip to Kansas City for National Contest and Awards. Ok!!!...that's just a little about the School Time at Slidell where even my heart was broken with my first love as a high school student. What...Memories!!!! WOW!!! Let's Rock and Roll and have a Sock Hop!!!! Workplace I couldn't ask for more, making money at what you enjoy with your love and hobby...ART!!!! I have listed several properties on The National Registry of Historical Places in Washington,DC I have had fun in Radio...TV...working with several stars from Beety Jo of Peticoat Junction to Vic Ames in Nashville. I owned a newspaper at one time in Oklahoma one time and received an award from the Governor with my work with Indian Children. I worked with and handle a Senators campaign.Travel for a Governor as a SE Associate in his Campaign for Election. And again saved three old house that we had listed on the National Registry that meant a great deal to me because of the award I received from President Jimmy Carter and his wife and along with President Bill Clinton. So for me it's all been about art and preservation and saving a part of history through my art. Infact today you can find my one of a kind recylced wood art on display at The Presidential Clinton Museum and the Winrock Institute. In my Travels across America with Wild Goose Studio,I worked in New York for awhile and even did some modeling; Waited tables at The Fairmont in San Francisco;displayed my art at several events, festivals, one of the Wild ones was The Jazz Fest in New Orleans, along with Memphis in May I worked with a friend of mine in California on a book titled "Be A Winner"... I now have over 90 outlets that carry my work in my art and my artistic printed cards. I live and work out of my studio in "The Foothills of The Ozarks". Come see me and you will find a great pot of coffee on,more than likely Community French Market and some awesome wine from wineries and even a great beer from Abita.
