John Edson (Eastman)-More about the name change later.
Joined the USAF shortly after graduation in 1960. Posted to Lincoln AFB Nebraska. Eventually served at Lajes Field, Azores, Osan Korea, and Minot, North Dakota. After discharge in 1965, returned to Lincoln and began classes at U of Nebraska. Started work for SmithKline (now Glaxo-SmithKline) Animal Health Group (Lincoln, Nebraska) as computer programmer, advanced to Director of IT. Left in 1990 for same position at Duncan Aviation. Why the name change: My step-father (Eastman) never legally adopted me. When I joined the Air Force, began using my birth certificate last name (Edson)
Note added November, 2016. Still flying for Duncan Aviation (Lincoln, NE , on on a part-time basis. Full retirement just around the corner, maybe.
