Staci's Story
Life
Since graduating, I attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and got a business degree. I have worked for the Social Security Administration in Tulsa for the past 17 years. I'm married and have two daughters, ages 3 and 7. I live in Broken Arrow. My mother still lives in Coweta, so I still go there on occasion. It has really changed a lot in the past 20 years!
I keep really busy between work and the kids. I'm active in Girl Scouts with my oldest daughter, and we just did our first cookie sale! It was a lot of work! I hope all of you reading this are doing well, and I would love to hear from you! I am in the early planning stages of our 20th reunion and I'm looking for fellow grads. Please call me at (918) 697-1417 to give me your contact information!
Thanks! Staci 01/29/08
School
I didn't really have a big crush in high school. I look back now and think there were guys I would have liked to date, but I really didn't date much then. I loved Mrs. Baker, our business teacher, and M...Expand for more
rs. Pemberton, the biology teacher. I probably had the most fun in her class. She was one of the coolest teachers ever. I loved being a cheerleader and had the best time ever cheering our guys on in football and wrestling during my junior and senior years.
College
I had a great college experience. I am a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. My first roommate, Robyn and I pledged together, and we are still in touch today. The cafeteria always had a unique offering. It has changed a lot over the years since we went there. Last year we said a sad goodbye to our beloved mascot the Redmen, as NSU is now known as the River Hawks, or something equally dumb.
Workplace
I started working for the Social Security Administration in 1991, as an internship student while still in college at NSU. I went full-time when I graduated, and have been there ever since. Mine is a very challenging job, but rewarding as well. I get to work with disabled people from all walks of life. It feels good to know I help people every day.
