John Gray:  

After graduating high school I joined the Navy, receiving training as a Nuclear Weapons Technician. In a 24 year career I was stationed at various commands on both the east and west coast, visited 20 or so countries – many of them numerous times, and finally retired in 1999 as a technical inspector. During this time I obtained a BS and MSEd from Southern Illinois University. While in the Navy I met my wife Bethany in San Diego, we married in 1990, and raised our daughter Jennifer. After retiring we ended up staying in Washington State as I took a job as a defense contractor working on Navy information technology systems. In 2001 I was hired into the U. S. civil service doing the same type of work. In 2009 I began specializing in computer security and I currently work as an information systems security analyst for the Department of the Navy. During my employment at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport I have obtained a MPA from Indiana University and a Ph.D in Information Systems Security from Nova Southeastern University.
