John's Story
Hello world, First time on any social media platform. Thought it was time to reach out and talk about my life a we bit.
Been married for 40 years to a small town girl from PA. Worked 40 years in the electrical construction business. Retired 8 years ago from my last position working in Seattle area. Moved to New Mexico and live in Santa Fe County just east of Albuquerque. Never had any children by choice which allowed us to concentrate on our relationship and our professions.
I do have lots of family in Albuquerque, cousins and their kids from my Fathers side of the family. My wife Linda was a regional sales manager in CA., but when we moved to Seattle, she couldn't just stop working and took a job as the financial manager at a small fire department about 10 miles from where we lived in Snohomish WA. She worked there for 16 years until we had both had enough. My company was so successful that it sold to a hedge fund outfit for 54 million. Not bad for an outfit that had net assets of about 4 million.

allowed us to walk away and pull the plug on our professional lives. I hunt, fish, and play golf to keep active and we have become foodies and frequent restaurants in and around Albuquerque about 3 times a week.
Thats enough for now.
Hope you all are doing well and life has been good to you.

Hello world for the second time.
I unfortunately lost my wife a couple of weeks ago after 40 years of a wonderful marriage.
She was my best friend, and love and I will miss her forever.
It is very hard to spend so many good moments with someone and then there is no one there to talk to about the past that we shared. It was just Linda and I for such a long time, the whole concept of her being gone is now just hitting me. Spoke to Johnny Spalione last week and he told a number of people who knew Linda and they passed on their condolences. She was tough, intelligent, kind, and always there when her friends needed her. A lot of people from California, Washington, and New Mexico will miss her.
That's all for now.
