John's Story
Life
Sheila my wife and I have two Grown Boys. I taught in Indianapolis Public Schools. I taught science for 28 and computers for the
last 9 years. I happily retired in May of 06.
We bought a new house in 2000 at the end of the our farms lane on the other side of Banta. We were going to build but we decided that 2 moves and the planning would cause us way too much stress. Our sons now live in farm house and our other house behind it.
Major hobbies are Live steam trains 1/8 scale woodworking in my shop, repairing and building spinning wheels and loombs. Sheila and I both are enjoying a new shop. She has 1000sq. ft on the top floor for her weaving and spinning workshops,...Expand for more
and I have the lower floor for my trains and woodworking. been making a lot of trips up and down lane since we moved accross road.
Workplace
After spending 37 years in the IPS classrooms I retired May 0f 2006. I am pleased to be out of the system with all of the changes are non student related. I now Am enjoying my Shop Where I work on my trains, build Scale model ships and repair weaving and spinning equipment.
Sheila and I spend much time in our shops in the back lot. You are still welcome to stop by if you are in the area. I am usually in my shop from 9:00 am to 5:00 and from 7:00 to 11:00, behind the farm house. If you know where that is you are welcome to stop by and say Hi.
