Definitely time for an update. It is May of 2013, a long time since my last entry. It seems I don't get onto the Classmates site as often. Yes, I am still a full-time university professor. I enjoy everything about 'academia' so very much; I am truly blessed to have such an awesome follow-up career to my 30+ years in law enforcement. At this point I have no plans to retire or cut back on my teaching load. My two sons have seen some changes. My older son and his wife left their home by the beach and relocated to southern Oregon. They have been there for not quite two years (through two winters) and have decided to stay. They recently bought 113 acres of land, with a few outbuildings and a 100+ year old farm house. The house needs a lot of work but they have a lot of plans for the place. The area is absolutely beautiful. Needless to say, my wife and I will be doing a lot of travel to Oregon. Our younger son finished Chiropractic college, passed all his national board exams and came back to Orange County. He was here a short time and 'relocated' to practice at a clinic in Peru!
