John's Story
Life
After graduating from Pasadena High School in 1962, I attended the University of Houston for a while and was married in 1965. Michaela (Mike) and I have been married for 44 years. We have two children and one granddaughter. I joined the US Army on April 11, 1966; decided to make a career of it and retired from the Army on July 31, 1989. I graduated from Troy State University in Alabama with a BS Degree in Resources Management. ctor. I am now fully retired, but do some part-time consulting work with a US Defense Contractor working with the US Military. Mike and I live in League City, Texas. We enjoy spending time with our family, taking cruises and traveling in our 5th Wheel RV.
Military
I entered the US Army in the Spring of 1966 as a Private. Attended Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA and received a commision as an Infantry Officer in 1967. I retired from the Army in July 1989 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. I am a Vietnam War veteran.
