John's Story

12/6/2021 Our family has survived the virus so far. Really nothing new, just older, slower and a little less active. I have been thinking about trying to contact many of you for some time now but always procrastinated. Recently, while checking the Obituaries I found that one of our classmates, Frank Grier (Class of '63 had died. I played football with Frank and we were in several clubs together. Since, I had not had any contact with Frank since graduation, I can't say that I lost a friend. We both lived in the Richmond area and in reading about his life, I realized that we had many things in common. While I had not lost a friend, I had lost someone who could have and should have been a friend. o hear from, including my football teammates. I know that the chances of actually meeting are slim but hearing from you while we are able would be great. I live in Richmond. I would appreciate hearing from you. In tying the above, part of my previous information was deleted All, is well and our family has so far survived the virus. We really stayed at home for the last two years but hope to start traveling again soon. Our granddaughter was selected new teacher of the year at the high school where she works. Our oldest grandson started his own plumbing business and is doing well. Our youngest grandson just graduated from high school. Over all my health is ok. This ends the update. I Finally decided to update bio. Graduated from Virginia Tech and I have lived in the Richmond, Virginia area since 1971. Married (53 years) two children, three grandchildren (oldest 30 years) and one great grandson (age 7). Basically retired, like to read, travel, listen to oldies. I have not kept up with many of you. Of course, a lot has happened during the years since Yorktown and I would love to reminisce with you, just leave me contact information and I will get back with you. . John Keiter
