John's Story

John is from Loves Park, Illinois. John is widowed. John's schools include Luxton School, St. John's High School, Never actually went to St. John's I put in because I had a lot of friends there. Also my wife went there. Winnipeg Technical Vocational High School. Went there from 1965to1968. I stopped early to begin an electrical apprenticeship which I worked at for 44 years. I later attended Red rivercomm.collage (Electrical Construction & Maintenance). John works(ed) at Rockford Country Club, IBEW. In September I did Beyond Band of Brothers tour. I spent 11 days toured all the D- Day beaches. Overall went from Normandy to Birchesgarden Germany. I learned a lot and had a great time. This winter woke up on a Tuesday morning. Decided to go to the Jets game in St. Louis. Next morning decided to go to the game in Dallas. That was a Thursday night game. me at 1:00. Got to the Pepsi Center at 11:30. After the game headed home turned out to be 2800 mile road trip in 6 days.lets see what I’ve done since then. Done a week in Mexico with my Brother and his wife. Did a trip to St.Paul through a snow storm to see a Jets playoff game. Slipped on some ice in the Holiday Inn parking messed up my shoulder. Had surgery still doing rehab. Caught Paul Simon at the UC in Chicago also saw ELO both great shows. It has been a slow summer no golfing usually do 80 to a 100 rounds a year. Was back in Winnipeg twice this year once with Daughter and Grandaughter another with my other Daughter. Just got back from a quick trip to Europe. Went to Prague for an NHL game and then to London for an NFL game. Lot of travel in 6 days. Actually it was a 2900 mile pub crawl. I now have two grandkids heading off to collage next fall. Right now like a lot of people staying at home trying to stay safe.
