John's Story
I joined the Air Force in March of 1966 & got married in March of 1967. We had a son, John Jr. in 1968. In the Air Force I worked on B-52's & flew missions over Viet Nam. I got discharged in Jan. of 1970 & went to school for a year & got my A&P licenses from the FAA. In Dec. of 1970 we had a second son, Christopher. I worked at Martin Marietta on the Viking spacecraft. I then went to work for the Colorado Air National Guard in 1976, in aircraft maintenance, and also worked in the same job during the week for Federal Civil Service. After touring the world for 24 years I retired from both of those jobs in June of 2000. g. We bought a diesel pusher motor home in 2004 and toured Alberta & British Columbia in Canada. I'm looking forward to retiring from the school district in 2011 or 2012 & taking the motor home to Alaska for the summer & coming back in the fall. Both of our son's got married in 2001 & now we have 5 beautiful grandchildren. I finally retired from the school district in June of 2012. Still haven't made it to Alaska yet. My wife,Deanna, and I are property managers of a property in Larkspur Colorado where we live. Looking forward to the 50th reunion in 2015.
