John's Story
Took a couple of years off to work after high school, then went to Delta and UOP. Played bass in a cover band during those years, along with Brian Davies, Carter Glahn, and Craig Sheely! Graduated from UOP with a degree in History in 1995, then went to do a Master's in Ancient History at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. t a few months at a couple of Trappist monasteries and then joined the Dominicans back East, deciding after a year and a half that it wasn't my calling. I finished a second MA at the Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology in Berkeley in 2005 and worked there as Director of Admissions for 8 years while also doing a lot of teaching in my parish and diocese. In 2007 I married Colleen and we have a daughter, Gemma. We now live in Virginia, where I work for the Catholic Diocese of Arlington.
