John's Story

Make sure your speakers are on. w w w . my space . c o m / johnnydentertainment I don't know if there is enough memory, or whatever runs a computer to handle intake, and store it, but I'll try to make a long story short. If I knew short hand, it would of helped, but I only took typing in college. For those who knew, or still know me I spent many years at W.Tresper Clarke H.S. in Westbury. I left Clarke H.S. after completing the 10th grade, which was in 1964. I lost alot of contact with friends from Clarke, because of my new full schedule and traveling over to East Meadow H.S. I also left behind my longtime secret school sweetheart, of which I won't mention any name. Not even she knew I had a big crush on her. For the two years I attended E.M. I reinvented the wheel so to speak. Actually, I became a member of the AutoMechanic class for 2 years, and graduated in 1966 from E.M. I guess you could say that I did have a high school crush, like many did. Unfortunately, it ended soon after I graduated. Women are so sinful. I had signed up for the Air Force during one of our schools auditorium meets for the graduating class. I was then knotified that it would be a year before I would be inducted so, I worked fulltime for several months. I wasn't too thrilled with the job, and thought I'd get out of town for some vacationing, and to forget about Ex girlfriends. Myself, and two of my friends came up with an idea of traveling to California. With my car breaking down in the Arizona desert, I had only enough money to take a bus to one of the guys home town, who said we could work on his parents ranch, and get plane fare back home. Them two guys got money from their parents to fly h...Expand for more
ome right away, but I got stuck working on the farm for several months. I finally got my plane ticket, and flew home to an awaiting letter from the Air Force, knotifying me I was to be at Ft.Hamilton within two days. Needless to say, life didn't get any easier from then on. Between bootcamp, and Air Force Tech school I spent about 8 months in Texas. That was the last time I had any stateside bases in the military. I was deployed overseas to Yokata AFB Japan where I remained for the rest of my induction in the military. It SUCKED, with capital letters. Had they given me Air Police as I had signed up for, I would of loved the place, and probably would of spent 20 years with the AirForce. But, they screwed me around on a regular basis, and touched my Italian nerve too many times, I had no other choice but to show them that you don't taunt with the Italians. Besides, the Japs that worked on base, hate americans, and still remember, and blame us for Hiroshima. I thought of them as walking and talking butt holes. The only good that came out of Japan was, my son was born in Tachikawa Japan AFB Hospital in 1969. I got out of the service in 1970, and was refused my dream of becoming a Nassau Cty. Long Island Policeman because of my discredability in the military. So, I did what I knew well, and that was automechanics. I had no intentions of using my knowledge of jet mechanics that I got from the military because I didn't like it, and the pay wasn't suffient to my experience. But upon pleas from my family and friends, I gave Grummans a shot at me, and they blew it. They, like the Air Force began to jerk me around, so I pulled the plug, and walked out. Sorry asses that they all were. I warned them that they weren't a military outfit, but only a civilian job.
