John's Story
I moved to Griffin shortly before starting the 10th grade at Griffin High School. When enrolling for classes just prior to school starting, I learned that I would be required to take JROTC, a program that I knew nothing about. After college, I served four years in the Army and then returned to metro-Atlanta in 1987 to begin an accounting career in corporate America. My wife and I settled into the Vinings/Smyrna area in mid-2007, and we are now enjoying shorter work commutes and being more centralized in the metro-Atlanta area.
