John's Story

This is my life in a nutshell. Hope some of you remember me because if not, then I did nothing worth remembering!! School I went to Wilson School from Headstart to 8th grade. I got the Garrett Scholarship and wasted it. In High school, I was a band geek with a lowrider, a 1967 Impala SS that I truly regret not having anymore. You can't find them for cheap around here. It was pretty much a fun time in high school and I met a lot of great and goofy people. When East closed, I graduated from South Mountain as an East High Graduate. I wore purple underneath my powder blue gown and revealed it on stage as I pick up my diploma. Ha Ha Mrs. Pete! (She'll get it) I did manage to get some bricks from East when they demolished it. College I graduated from Phoenix College in 1987 with an AAS in Mechanical Drafting. This is when I really discovered partying and clubbing. I'll never do t...Expand for more
hat again! After a lifetime break, I'm back in school to finish up my Electrical Engineering Degree. Military We were at Ft. Devens and then in Berlin. I saw the Berlin Wall come down and all the East Germans come over in their 2 cycle Trabi's, leaving them on the side of the highway when they ran out of fuel. I lived on Hefe Weizen and Doner Kebabs mit pommes frittes. I met a lot of great people during my military days and hope that they are all doing well. I've been married now for 21 years to Regina nee Heintz from Carl Hayden. I met my bride in college and whisked her away with me when I joined the Army. We have 4 great kids and I'm grateful that they're not doing half the things I was doing at their age! So, drop me a line or three and let me know how life turned out for you. I keep friends for life, so even though I have a full life, I'll ping you every now and then.
