John's Story
I graduated from St. Edwards in 68, Holy Trinity in 72, then Hofstra in 77 with a degree in History and Poli Sci. I travelled, returned, worked for Manhattan D.A., went to New York Law School and graduated in 84. Got married, had a kid, moved upstate to the Finger Lake region of NY. I started my law firm and got divorced. My first daughter was home-schooled for her Junior HS and HS years and is now a nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. crewed on racing sailboats and got my own boat, a Canadian Shark 24 "White Star". I married a widow with a kid, and then had another. My law firm helps people with bankruptcy and Social Security disability. My office is located in a building that was constructed in 1792. I now somewhat closer to Rochester. The winters here can be brutal, but our summers are wonderful, the quality of life is good and the cost of living is reasonable. I just wish that the area had more economic vitality.
