John's Story
I love California, the way it was not the way it is. We were a VERY lucky generation to have grown up there when we did.
I went to Sequoia Jr. Hi and then to Reseda. That lasted a year until Taft opened which was, at the time, the newest and most modern school in LAUSD.
After Taft, immediately after, I joined the Navy. At discharge, it was work , raising a family and school on the GI bill. Having finished with that, I started a thirty year career at Santa Monica PD

A sad edit:
My beautiful daughter, DeAnna , passed away on 5/19/2019.
It brought crushing pain which subsided, the grief remains.
However, I will never question God’s plans and I accept his taking DeAnna home.
Regardless, overall life has still been very good to me, I'm a very fortunate and lucky guy.
I’ve also had five joint replacement’s, one to go, due to Arthritis. Thankfully we have spare parts today.
I deleted about half of my profile. The majority of those visiting my profile don’t have one.
Names I remember, I send a note and don’t get any response.
