Joined the Marines summer of 64.Went to boot camp Parris IS Aug 64.MOS was 0331 (Machine Gunner). Was assigned to 1st Bn 6th Marine Regt. Saw Combat in the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo) April thru June 1965.In 1966 was assigned to 2nd Bn 4th Marines Pulled 13 Major operations in Vietnam. Left Nam in 1967 and stayed in till 1971. etired after 29 years, 9 months and 9 days of service. Was married to the same lady I went with while I was in Jr High School and lost her to cancer after 48 years of marriage. We were together for a total of 53 years and I miss her dearly. Being single now for almost ten years, life still seems very strange to me. Maybe someday down the road, God will send me another love to shear life with....Semper Fi.........JM
