John's Story
After HPHS, I attended Stanford University and graduated with HONORS in Economics and Industrial Engineering, having earned both a B.S. degree and a B.A. I took one year off from schooling to deal with my military obllgation by joining the US Army Reserve. I then attended Princeton University, and earned a masters degree in Economics.
After spending one year in Washinton, D.C. still trying to figure out a dissertation topic, I gave that pursuit up and took a job with IBM in San Jose ...Expand for more
California. I worked for IBM for 13 years before I left it to work for EDS in Detroit, Michigan.
I returned to the west coast in 1996, and have lived in the Portland Oregon area for the last 18 years. i currently work in the field of Supply Chain Management for a high tech company, FEI, in Hillboro, OR.
I have been married since 1978, to the same woman, Mary, whom I met in San Jose. We have two children, a daughter, Melinda, and a son Paul; both of whom also live in the Portland area.
