John's Story
Graduating from Grossmont HS was a big disappointment. I was having too much fun and really didn't want to leave. It was like being kicked out of your favorite club because you got too old. It was my first experience of age discrimination.
At age 20, I missed receiving the Pulitzer Prize for Journalism. Actually, I was never considered for the prize and maybe that's why I didn't get it; but, it did not stop me from pursuing a new direction... Up.

jority of the last 37 years crossing continents and oceans. I got to experience the sights, sounds and smells of more than two hundred cities.
I spend my retirement days with my wife of 31 years, Connie, on our 70 acre horse training facility near Greenville, Texas. We have lived here since 1994 and have no intention of moving. I'm having almost as much fun as I did at GHS.
