Life After graduating HHS in 1989 I went off to Auburn University with a few other classmates. I gave them four good years, and was commissioned into the Navy on graduation day. After giving the Navy their four years, I decided it was not for me and came home to Nashville and have been here since. For me, seeing the world only confirmed what I already knew. Other places are nice to visit, but here is where I want to be. Since getting out of the Navy in 1997 I have been hunting for a civilian career that suits my abililty. I think I have found my calling as an anesthetist. As of winter of 2007 I am in my last semester of nursing school at MTSU and look forward to starting work as a critical care nurse in July. I will have to work at least one year, and then can apply for graduate school. With some luck, I will be accepted to a program in the Nashville area. If not, I am ready to move. Still not married, and no children. There are many of us from the class of 1989 who are still in the area and we do a good job of staying in touch with each other.
