John's Story
Life
Most of my spare time not spending with family and friends are spent running. Over the past five years I have been running just about 6 days a weeks, running marathons and ultra marathons on a regular basis. This year, 2006, I ran the Boston Marathon, Leadville 100 mile endurance run in Leadville Colorado, several 50ks and other marathons. To date, I have 40 marathons or greater distances I have ran. are in 4th and 2nd grades. My wife works in outside sales and I live in Magnolia Texas, just north of The Woodands. 2007 again, I ran the Boston Marathon, Rocky Raccoon 100 mile endurance run, Vermont 100 mile endurance run and in Oct. I will be running the Arkansas Traveler 100. My best time in a 100 mile event is 25:17, that is 25 hours, 17 min. of non stop running. Some people think you stop and sleep, but in an Ultra, when the gun goes off until you cross the finish line, the clock is running.
