John's Story
Went to the overseas University of Maryland program for my BA and then got my MA and PhD in History at the University of Darmstadt. Have stayed in Germany ever since and loved every minute of it. Together with my wife, Helga, (with whom I've been married to for over 30 years now), we live just outside of Frankfurt in Kelkheim. Do documentary films for TV and historic displays for museums. Once in a great while, I stop in K-town to see the old building, which soon will be torn down, but so much has changed.
We enjoy coming to the States about once a year for vacation and have probably seen more of the country than most. For all the problems we may have as a nation, we tend to forget how much natural beauty can be found in our country, and how important that is, and will be for future generations.
